Jeff felt well enough today to walk 24 miles...Praise God for such a fast recovery!

Jeff woke up with a terrible stomac virus today. Please pray for his healing.

May 2 , 2005

Jeff said that after today's walk his leg was a little tender and to please continue to pray for healingfor his leg.
He thanks the Highland and Souther Hills Churches for their hospitality, and I (Justin Robinson) would personally like to thank
Buddy and Terry Mills for watching out for my father these past few days. Buddy, you don't know how much your words and actions
have done to encourage my dad. Thank you so much to all the people and Chuurch Families that have become part of the journey this far!
It would not be possible with out you!

To all my friends. Thank you so much for your continuing prayers and your concern for me if you have heard about my leg injury. Praise God, it appears to be minor and just needs a few days of R&R. Special thanks to Dr. Longley and all of the staff at his clinic for working me in yesterday, and for their care and encouragement. Also, special thanks to Buddy Mills - another selfless saint who dropped everything and devoted his entire afternoon to my care and needs. He has graciously volunteered to walk in my stead to complete what I could not finish yesterday and today.

We will make the following adjustments: I will take off Thursday and Friday (Buddy will make up what is unfinished, about 3 miles, from Wednesday and the 20 miles scheduled for Friday. I will walk with crutches and no pack on Saturday from Abilene to Trent, then take off Sunday. I will try to walk the next week or two with only water and rain gear to lighten my load. I hardly feel my injury when I am walking without a pack.

Friday night at 6 PM is the fundraising dinner for Dry Bones/walking to denver at the Southern Hills Church of Christ in Abilene. I would invite any and all who wish to come to please be there. It's BBQ brisket and only $5. All proceeds and donations are for Dry Bones. Matt and Nikki Wallace are coming from Denver today to be there, along with Cheeto and Bob, two of our street kids. Saturday, there will be several Boy Scouts walking with me to qualify for hiking merit badge from the troop at the Hillcrest Church of Christ, and several ACU students. All are welcome to join. I will start out between 5:30 and 6:00 AM at the west loop ( Alameda) and I-20. Sunday, Matt, Nikki, and I have been invited to speak at the Church of Christ in Sweetwater (40 miles away) and they will be having a pot-luck afterwards. Sunday night, Buddy Mills has arranged a time of fellowship at the home of the Tates. The Tates have also very generously loaned me one of their cars for a couple of days, until Sherri arrives.

Another special thanks to Gary Billingsley and now Eddie Kent for the incredible job they are doing in arranging places for me to stay. I doubt I could have made it this far without you. Pray that Gary and Lois will have a safe and enjoyable trip to France to visit the daughter, son-in-law and grandkids in May. Their kids are learning French in preparation for working as missionaries in Africa.

I have at least three meetings with media here today - two newspapers and a radio talk show. The Dallas Morning News will be here tomorrow with a photographer for a follow-up story.

I hope to use the rest of my R&R time to catch up on journals. Thanks for being patient with me. There are so many demands on my non-walking time, it's hard to manage my writing. Your phone calls and emails are a constant reminder to me of your love and support. I cannot even imagine how many prayers are lifted for me each day but I am aware of God's watchful care and constant presence. I'm sure this injury will again turn out to be a blessing. I'll cover this more in future journals.

God bless you all. Please continue to remember our kids in Denver. Give thanks for those willing to help me along my way. And also, pray for those to whom God is whispering as the result of my presence and participation in this journey. Although this journey, in a public sense, is not about me, I have the great privilege of having many opportunities to be salt, light and life to those who are curious about why a 50 year old grandfather would walk 1300 miles to help people he barely knows. What a gift God has given me! Prayer that I will be faithful, that my eyes will always be open to the needs of those about me, and that I will always wear a "YES" face and respond to those about me as Jesus Christ himself would. Sometimes, someone will stop and offer assistance, or ask a question, and I respond without probing deeper. May God forgive me whenever I miss the opportunity to draw them deeper into THE STORY. I am learning to be content in whatever role, whatever way He wants to use me each day. I want to be satisfied to be seed planter, waterer or cultivator, an not expect to always be part of the harvest. Indeed, without the former there cannot be the latter. We all need to learn to see that there is glory in every step and that glory always belongs to God. Our very willingness to participate is an act of faith, and both the faith, the willingness to participate, and the abilities to contribute are all gifts from Him. We have no basis whatsoever to consider ourselves worthy or special simply because we are being faithful to what has been given to us, as if we have done anything on our own. We should fall down on our knees and thank Him every time we do good, every time we make righteous choices, every time there is evidence that we have allowed the Holy Spirit to guide us and be made manifest in our lives. Without Him, we would be, and are, nothing. So remember those who approach me, or whom God directs me to approach. Pray that He will use me to be the example of the Gospel, using words, if necessary, to draw others into THE STORY.

Stay tuned, my friends, God, the ultimate program director, has much more in store, I'm sure.

Praise God for his answer to prayer! My feet, although not healed are doing much much better today!

April 4 - 8, 2005

Please pray for healing for my feet. They are very blistered.

April 1, 2005

Please pray that God will give me(Jeff Robinson) the strength physically, spiritually, and emotionally to carry out this journey.

This Journey is bigger than me...it's not about me...it's about bringing glory to God and serving others. Please pray that God will keep me focused.
